International support for non-Persian peoples in Iran launched

LONDON 31 December 2017: The International Campaign to Support the Revolution of Non-Persian Peoples in Iran has been launched.

The announcement of the international campaign came following an expanded meeting of the representatives of the organisations, international advocates and revolutionary forces of non-Persian peoples in London today.

The campaign includes the following organisations: 1- The Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights 2- The Balushi Observatory for Human Rights 3 – The Gulf European Centre for Human Rights 4 – The Bahrain Human Rights Watch Society 5 – The Universal Message of Human Rights Organisation 6 – The International Association of Rights and Freedoms in Europe 7 – Karama Human Rights Society 8 – The Lebanese Institute for Democracy and Human Rights (LIFE) 9 – The Yemeni Coalition for Human Rights 10 – International Network to Support Self-Determination and Independence form Persian Occupation 11- The Syrian Observatory for War Crimes 12 – Arab Network for Human Rights Information 13 – Arab Observatory for Unions Rights and Freedoms The revolutionary forces for non-Persian peoples called upon their respective supporters to continue escalating protests in all cities, urging the youth inside to immediately join the national groups and civil society organisations.

They were also advised to participate in the non-Persian people’s protests while wearing national dress and waving signs that demonstrate non-Persian people’s demands for liberation from the Persian occupation and the overthrowing of the repressive terrorist regime, replacing it with a multi-party system that grants rights to non-Persian people, in accordance with the law and with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and guarantees their right for self-determination A statement issued after the meeting referred to the rapid developments in the Iranian geopolitical scene. It said the world had been following the protests in Iran’s major cities during the last two days, adding that the ‘revolution will not be quelled’, despite repression.

It added that the popular rise by non-Pesrian people against Persian occupation had gained momentum in a number of cities, including Mashhad, Nishapur and Yazd, while protesters continued their demands for regime change and for the right to decent and dignified life.
