Leaders inspect Aurus armored limousine from Russia

ABU DHABI 19 February 2019: Russia’s ultra-luxury armoured limousine Aurus was inspected yesterday in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Aurus armoured limousine is displayed at Tawazun Economic Council stand at 14th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (Idex) and the 5th Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (Navdex) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The Defense, Security and Development Foundation of Tawazun Holding controls 36% of Nami, the company that manufactures luxury Aurus vehicles, which costs US$160,000 per vehicle.

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid was also present during the inspection of Aurus armored limousine, which is designed as part of the Kortezh project of cars for senior officials. Their Highnesses were briefed about the vehicle and its various components and specifications.

The Aurus Senat is developed by Nami in Moscow. The armored limousine is powered by a 4.4 litre V8 engine developed by Nami. It is the Presidential state car of Russia. Development of the Senat started in 2013, said Wikipedia.
