Lower UAE fee for recruiting foreign workers

ABU DHABI 22 May 2019: Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, has issued a decision to add a fourth membership category to the Emiratisation Partners Club (EPC).

Based on their membership category, companies can receive various privileges for being members of the club, most notably having to pay a lower fee for recruiting foreign workers to Dh300 for two-year permit applications and renewals based on a company’s Emiratisation rate and its membership in the club, said Wam.

The decision seeks to raise the percentage of Emiratisation in the private sector, increase cultural diversity in the job market, encourage establishments to employ workers already residing in the country, and employ women and people of determination, which will help achieve the National Agenda of the UAE Vision 2021.

The Emiratisation Partners Club (or ‘Tawteen Partners Club’) is part of the broader government initiative launched in 2017 to increase the number of local workers in the general workforce, called the ‘National Programme for Emiratisation’.
