A 28-year-old Egyptian man threw his two little sons to death in the Nile before going home and hanging himself, newspapers reported on Wednesday.
The man, identified as Ahmed, took his two sons Salam and Yousuf, aged 6 and 10 years, to a bridge on the Nile in the capital Cairo and hurled them into the water.
Newspapers quoted his wife as telling police they were having financial problems and her husband had suspicions the two boys are not his son.
They said the bodies of the two children were plucked out by police divers while their father was found hanging at his apartment in Al-Haram neighborhood.
