Saudi authorities on Wednesday executed a local man after he was convicted of killing his wife by stabbing her while sleeping.
The Interior Ministry said Hassan Falouk was beheaded in Riyadh after he was sentenced to death by a local court on charges of murdering his wife.
A statement said Falouk was found guilty of using a kitchen knife to stab his wife in her back while she was sleeping on her bed at their home in the capital Riyadh.
“He murdered his wife in cold blood without any reason as there were no previous disputes,” it added.
