A Moroccan man used a knife to slit his throat as he and friends were chased by police suspecting the men were intoxicated, newspapers reported on Thursday.
Several men armed with knives and cleavers attacked police, who charged back and chased them through narrow lanes in the Northern town of Fez on Tuesday, the second day of Eid Al-Adha
Newspapers quoted a police spokesman as saying one who was about to be caught by the police put the knife on his neck and slit his throat.
“He died on the spot. He and his friends were clearly under the influence of drugs,” a police spokesman said.
