McDonald’s tests new ‘Sriracha Burger’

New product is being tested in US

The humble Big Mac you knew and loved is dead. Well, not entirely. But it’s no longer the simple joy you once thought it was. It’s getting all kinds of upgrades.

Not only is McDonald’s trying to jazz up the Mac by creating bigger and smaller versions (called the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr, respectively), it’s also now trying to taint the burger’s simple joy by adding your favourite condiment.

That’s right. McDonald’s next big thing is the Sriracha Burger, according to the UK Metro daily.

“Yes, it will probably taste delicious. Yes, we love both McDonald’s and Sriracha and will likely enjoy the two together. But must things change? Must we keep taking the Big Mac to new heights?” the paper asked.

It said McDonald’s is currently testing the Sriracha Big Mac in 126 restaurants in the Columbus, Ohio area before it is served worldwide.
