Rain Forecast? Dubai wakes up to sun-shiny day

By Angel Chan

DUBAI: Despite rain forecast, Dubai woke up to a bright sunny day on Monday.

Saturday and Sunday it had drizzled and  rained throughout the day in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but medium to light rains lashed the emirate of Fujairah and its neighbouring towns and villages on Sunday, triggering a drop in temperature.

Meanwhile, different areas of the Eastern Coast witnessed moderate rains, whose severity increased by noon, leading to accumulations of water on the streets and roundabouts in the emirate.

The sky remained cloudy as the rainfall continued until evening owing to the low pressure, which will continue until Monday.
