CHRISTCHURCH 18 March 2019: The death toll in the New Zealand mosque shootings rose to 50 on Sunday after police said they found another body at one of the mosques.

The authorities are working to formally identify victims and release their bodies to families.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern said that the authorities will begin handing over bodies to families for burial on Sunday, said Wam.

Some 20 people have been seriously injured with some still fighting for their lives.
