Over 300 to compete in Dubai Muscle Show

IFBB Amateur Championships to be held on October 21-22

Hundreds of local, regional and international bodybuilders will gather this week to compete in the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Amateur Championships, at Dubai Muscle Show, on October 21-22, Dubai International Marine Club.

The competition is organised by Universal Muscle, Fitness & Fashion (UMFF) in a collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, and supported by Emirates Bodybuilding Federation (EBBF), under the rules and regulations of the IFBB.

The contest will feature over an 300 muscle men and women, from Australia, South Africa, UK and across the Middle East, to prove themselves on the world’s most coveted amateur stage.

The event is set to be the largest ever amateur bodybuilding contest that the UAE has ever seen – with prizes presented by eight-time Mr Olympia, Ronnie Coleman.

Hessa Al Kous, Director of Events Department at Dubai Sports Council said: “We are pleased to be supporting such a landmark event, that brings so many top athletes from across the world to Dubai, to showcase their talents. The popularity of this show and its athletes will provide a great inspiration for many and will drive the growth of fitness and the sport of bodybuilding.”

The common approach is creating a playground for athletes where they can showcase their performance and offerings to sport brands, companies and media.”

Male and female competitors will compete in 12 categories, showcasing the culmination of years and months of dedicated training and nutrition that each of them has endured to reach their highest level of physical form.

The categories include Bodybuilding, Classic Bodybuilding, Women’s Fitness, Men’s Fitness, Women’s Bodyfitness, Women’s Bikini-Fitness, Men’s Physique, Women’s Physique, Mixed Pair, Children Fitness, Classic Physique, and Wellness Fitness.
