Palindrome Date: What’s so special about 8th of October?

By Eudore R. Chand

DUBAI 9 October 2018: What was s special about yesterday.

Well, it was a palindrome date.

What does that mean?

It means the word or sequence of numbers can be read from left to right as well as from right to left – and still read the same.

For example, the words ‘madam’ or ‘mom’ are palindromes as they can be read forward and backward without a change in the spelling.

Similarly, yesterday’s date was 8th September 2018 or 8-10-18.

Get it?

Only the Americans won’t as their date format is month [10], date [8] and year [18].
