Pay Dubai Police fines in interest-free instalments

DUBAI 25 May 2018: The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Directorate of Finance, has signed a memorandum of  understanding with Standard Chartered Bank for the purpose of providing installment payment service through credit cards issued by the bank without interest for a period of 3-6, 9 and 12 months.

The memorandum was signed by Brigadier General Saif Mohammed Saif bin Abed, Director General of Finance and Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Shahzad Humaid Shahzad, Head of Banking Services, in the presence of Brigadier General Naim Al Khatib, Mr. Irfan Ludhi, Head of Credit and Personal Loans at Standard Chartered Bank, and Ali Hanawi, Head of Credit Card Issuance at the Bank.

Brigadier General Ibn Abed confirmed that the signing of the agreement came on the directives of His Excellency General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, in order to provide a new and easy channel for customers with Dubai Police to pay traffic fines and installments over periods ranging from 3 to 12 months. The minimum value of the violation is AED 500.

He pointed out that the service is innovative by the Dubai Police as part of its strategic plan to facilitate the clients, and to achieve partnership with the private sector, and within the achievement of the strategic goal of Dubai Police to make the community happy through the provision of police services across several channels and outlets.

In his appreciation to Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Ibn Abed said that he is keen to enhance the continuous cooperation with Dubai Police to achieve the desired objectives. Mr. Shahzad Humaid Shahzad also valued the partnership and continued cooperation with Dubai Police, which contributes to providing a variety of services to the parties.
