Police offers you an ‘conditional’ 50% cut in traffic fines

By Eudore R. Chand

AJMAN 5 March 2019: Ajman Police have announced that motorists who avoid traffic violations for six successive months will have their fines slashed by 50 per cent.

Major General Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, said the move comes in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, to observe the Year of Tolerance.

He noted that motorists who avoid committing violations from January 1st to June 1st, 2019, would avail of the discount in July this year, explaining that decision will cover all traffic violations committed by the erring car owner in the emirate last year, said Wam.

Al Nuaimi urged motorists to abide by the traffic rules to avoid accidents and hefty fines.
