Ration vouchers for underprivileged in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI 8 June 2017: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), in Abu Dhabi has been distributing Ramadan ration vouchers to underprivileged families in the emirate and the enlisted segments in the branch for over a week.

The gesture follows ERC’s annual campaign for the holy month of Ramadan this year. The drive includes a number of projects and humanitarian events across not just the nation but numerous countries in the world. The programmes are being carried out through ERC offices and its accredited charitable organisations.

Mohammed Saeed Al Rumaithi, Director of the ERC branch in Abu Dhabi, said that the philanthropic body has allocated AED855,360 for Ramadan rations this year. The distribution process is being implemented in cooperation with ERC partners and charitable bodies. The aim is to achieve solidarity and cohesion among all segments of society.
