American police let go a Saudi couple who left their 8-month-old daughter in the car alone, while they went to watch a movie.
The couple told the police that it was culturally acceptable in Saudi and the Texas Police let them go.
According to US media, police in Texas received a call from one of the people who saw the car, parked near a cinema, with a baby girl – and no sign of her parents.
She asked the police to open the car and take out the baby and send her for medical examination and then search for her family.
The police looked at the surveillance cameras and found out that the couple left their baby for 45 minutes.
American child protection services criticised the police for allowing the parents of the child to leave the site without being arrested, and called for their arrest and investigation.
