DUBAI 14 May 2017: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,  watched as UAE riders scored big in the 120km Royal Windsor Endurance Race in the United Kingdom.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai attended the race at Windsor Park.

Queen Elizabeth II and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee also watched the event.

Sheikh Mohammed met the Queen on the sidelines of the race and discussed historic ties, friendship, and co-operation between the UAE and the United Kingdom on all aspects.

Sheikh Mohammed affirmed UAE’s keenness to participate in equestrian events taking place in England, particularly the Windsor Royal Endurance Race, one of the most prominent festivals on the endurance calendar of events.

The UAE riders won the first three places with Saeed Al Khayari was crowned winner of the 120km Royal Windsor Endurance Race finishing in 4:47:48. Some 60 jockeys, including eight from the UAE, took part in the race.

A number of sheikhs, officials and endurance race enthusiasts attended the event.
