Sharjah spends Dh67m for smooth traffic flow to Al Dhaid

Sharjah RTA implements intersection 8 project

SHARJAH 30 July 2017: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah has announced that a contractor would be assigned to implement the intersection project No. 8 on Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road at a cost of about Dh67 million.

Yusuf Saleh Al Suwaiji, Chairman of RTA Sharjah, said that the project was being implemented as per the directions of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to expand the infrastructure development projects which are the main engine of growth and development for the city of Sharjah, said Wam.

The project will be monitored by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, to ensure that the development of road networks is in line with the highest international standards to cope with the urban and economic development being witnessed by the emirate.

Al Suwaiji added that the project included the construction of a new bridge to replace bridge No 8 on the Sharjah-Al-Dhaid road and allow a double-lane overhead passage with a width of 7.3m in each direction and a total length of 2.6km.
