Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon area to be overhauled

SHARJAH 3 October 2018: The Khalid Lagoon are in Sharjah is to be revamped and made more beautiful along with addition of new facilities, according to the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC).

The council discussed the development of the facades of nearby commercial buildings overlooking Khalid Lagoon.

The project aims to improve pedestrian traffic and develop the commercial facade of the buildings overlooking Khalid Lagoon.

The importance of improving road safety and social environment, which support the economic and tourism sector, was also highlighted.

The council was chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, said Wam.

The council reviewed a number of issues and issued a number of resolutions that would achieve the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in providing the best services to citizens and residents in the various cities and regions of the emirate.

It also adopted a memorandum of agreement to be signed between the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in Sharjah and the General Authority for the Security of Ports, Borders and Free Zones, on effective cooperation and information exchange.

The council has further issued a resolution on documenting the transactions in the emirate of Sharjah.
