SSC directs clubs to pay workers’ salaries, board dissolved

SHARJAH 16 April 2020: Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, directed the board of directors and clubs in the emirate of Sharjah to adhere to their contracts with workers and pay their salaries, especially in light of the current circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sheikh Saqr issued a circular to all the clubs and specified the importance of promoting social and employment stability.

He called on all the employees of the clubs to continue working remotely to attain high levels of efficiency, said Wam.

Ruler dissolving Sharjah Sports Club Board

Meanwhile, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Administrative Resolution No. 04 of 2020 on dissolving the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club.

The new resolution stipulates that the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Sports Club is to be dissolved as of the date of this resolution.

The resolution also stipulates that Ali Salem Al Midfa is to form and chair the new Board of Directors.

The resolution shall be effective from the date of its issuance and other competent authorities should implement its provisions in the respective fields. It also shall be published in the Official Gazette.
