Stormy Skies: Rains, thunder, lightening lash UAE

By Eudore R. Chand

DUBAI 12 November 2018: Heavy rains, thunder and lightening lashed the UAE as the region headed towards cooler climes and the balmy winter.

Average UAE temperature slid to 24.2°C at about 3 am last night.

Streets in some cities like Abu Dhabi were unable to cope with the deluge and were flooded. In other places, the rain was more gentle but it got the streets wet and slick.

Apparently, car washes will have a great time over the coming few days.

Today is forecast to be cloudy and rainy too, especially over some western and northern coastal. It will be humid at night with a chance of mist formation so be careful in the morning while driving.

There will be strong winds whipping up rough seas, so be careful while sailing.
