Sword-wielding Briton storms royal palace in Kuwait

Was drunk; Arrested by security men

A drunk British man armed with a sword tried to storm Al-Shaab Palace, the main office of Kuwait’s Prime Minister, but was arrested by guards.

Newspapers said the 32-year-old Briton was with another man when he tried to push his way into the historical palace.

“Security men guarding the palace stopped the British man and arrested him after a tough resistance…the other man managed to flee,” Al Rai daily said.

It quoted police as saying the man would remain in custody for questioning and that he was heavily drunk when he was nabbed.
