DUBAI 11 June 2019: The Gillette Ramadan Street Cricket tournament, the largest street cricket tournament the region has ever seen, came to a close on Sunday, as Tigers CC reigned supreme in the final vs Sharjah CC.
Needing just 50 runs to win the tournament, Tigers CC chased down the total in just four overs to be crowned the first ever winner of the Gillette Ramadan Street Cricket tournament.
Over 350 amateur players originally from Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan ascended onto two newly built pitches next to Global Village across two weeks to face off against each other. The tournament, part of Gillette’s commitment to grow the game across the region, also gave players and spectators the opportunity to experience pitch side shaves, as well as free food and drink.

We wanted to bring the street cricket community together and give the best street cricket teams in the region the opportunity to showcase their talent on the big stage.
