DUBAI 31 March 2019: Dubai has got tough with reckless drivers and has proven its ‘zero tolerance’ by catching and arresting one zipping along Dubai’s roads.
The unnamed reckless driver had rented the car and was driving his vehicle in a way that posed a threat to his own safety and the safety of others, said Dubai Police in a tweeted statement.
With his driving, he also posed a threat of damage to public utilities and private facilities.
The suspect wa scaught at four o’clock in the morning around Global Village area.
His case has been forwarded to competent authorities to complete legal procedures against him.
Dubai Police has called on the community to respect the law and to report violations by contacting the service (901).
