DUBAI 4 December 2018: Base, Dubai’s home-grown superclub, has a year-ender planned with weekends full of exciting performances this December.
Rap royalty Tyga kicks off December with a bang, followed by Big Ben, Nas, Shaggy, Cut Killer, and Pusha T, to make sure the last month of 2018 is the wildest one yet at Base.
On December 1, Tyga treated fans to a mind-blowing performance.
Big Ben – December 7th
One of the most celebrated artists in Africa, Big Ben is set to bring his signature blend of Afro pop and Afrobeat to the Base dancefloor for a smashing night of high-octane entertainment where ladies will be served complimentary drinks all night long.
Nas – December 8th
Legendary American rapper Nas is set to deliver his first club performance in the Middle East. Called one of the ‘Top 10 Best Rappers of All Time’ by Billboard, the New York MC has sold over 30 million records and is set to get the crowds moving with his distinct flow and rhyme.
Shaggy – December 13th
The reggae icon is set to inject LYFE into Base’s dancefloor with an electrifying performance. The American-Jamaican superstar will perform his multi-platinum hits such as Oh Carolina, Bombastic and Angel and get the crowd grooving with complimentary drinks for ladies all night along.
On Thursday, 13th December, Shaggy will bring his ‘bombastic’ energy to Base for LYFE night.
Pusha T – December 15th
Pusha T started out in the hip-hop duo Clipse with his brother, the artist known as Malice, in the 90s and has since gone on to enjoy major critical acclaim and a successful career as a rapper and record executive. After signing with Kanye West’s ‘G.O.O.D. Music’, he featured on West’s hit album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’. Pusha T’s official debut album, ‘My Name is My Name’ was released in 2013 and included collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, and 2 Chainz. It debuted at number 4 on the US Billboard 200 and received widespread acclaim and popularity. Following the release of another hit album, ‘King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude’, and collaborations with Linkin Park and Gorillaz, Pusha T unveiled his latest album, ‘Daytona’, in May of this year.
Jason Derulo concert at Global Village
Global Village has announced that international R&B sensation Jason Derulo will perform live on Friday, 14th December 2018 on its Main Stage. Expected to take Dubai by storm, the concert will headline the entertainment scene of Dubai this year being the End of School Term concert and is expected to be attended by tens of thousands of fans.
Jason Derulo is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and R&B artiste, rated among the best-selling, radio-dominating, pop and urban artists internationally.
In addition to crowd-favourite numbers, Jason will perform music that he has chosen especially for Dubai. He recently performed at MTV Europe Music Awards where he was also nominated for Best World Stage Performance and earlier he released a hit single, Goodbye, a joint-collaboration with David Guetta and featuring Nicki Minaj.
In the past five years, Jason Derulo has had a meteoric rise from writing songs for top artistes to selling over 50 million singles worldwide and racking up over two billion views on YouTube and 1 billion plays on Spotify. Rita Ora in Maldives
Amilla Fushi Maldivian resort has announced that Rita Ora will perform on December 31st.
The UK bred talent who just launched her long-awaited new album Phoenix is coming to the Maldivian shores to perform her greatest hits such as Let You Love Me, Your Song with Ed Sheeran, For You, and Black Widow; and give the resort’s guests a taste of her new music – all happening before her world tour kicks off in Australia in March 2019, making the lucky island dwellers amongst the first ones to experience the singer’s new material live on stage.
