UN chief condemns attack on civil facilities in UAE

UAE 18 January 2022: UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the Houthi militia attack, which targeted civil facilities in UAE and resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

The UN spokesman said in yesterday’s daily briefing that such attacks are prohibited by international humanitarian law, said Wam.

US Secretary of State condemns terrorist Houthi attack

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a phone call from the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken.

During the phone call, Blinken affirmed the US’ condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack of the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE.

He also expressed his condolences to the UAE over the victims of this terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Saudi Arabia condemns cowardly terrorist attack

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned in “the strongest terms” the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted civil facilities and territories in the UAE on Monday.

The Kingdom affirmed its full support for the UAE in the face of all threats to its security and stability.

A Saudi foreign ministry statement said that this terrorist act, which the Houthis are responsible for, “reaffirms the danger of this terrorist group and its threat to security, peace, and stability in the region and the world.”

The Kingdom stressed that it continues to confront all Houthi terrorist attempts and practices through its leadership of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

The Kingdom offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of the UAE, wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured in the attack.

Saudi FM condemns terrorist Houthi attack

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a phone call from His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the phone call, His Highness Prince Faisal expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE.

He offered condolences to the UAE over the victims of this cowardly terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

His Highness affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with and full support for the United Arab Emirates in the face of all threats to its security and stability, stressing that the security of the Emirates and Saudi Arabia is indivisible.

Bahrain condemns explosive-laden drones on Abu Dhabi

The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s launch of explosive-laden drones on Abu Dhabi.

In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, the Foreign Affairs Ministry stressed that the cowardly terrorist attack, which resulted in the death of three civilians and the injury of others, violates international humanitarian law and all other international laws and constitutes a blatant attack on the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, reflecting the insistence of these terrorist Houthi militias to continue their cowardly criminal attacks.

The Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom stands in solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and all the measures it will take to confront such cowardly attacks.

The Ministry further called upon the international community to take the necessary steps against the militias, whose hostile acts confirm that they are a terrorist organisation that poses a serious threat to the stability and security of the region.

During the phone call, Al Zayani expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE.

He offered condolences to the UAE over the victims of this cowardly terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Kuwait condemns cowardly terrorist attack

Kuwait has condemned in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist drone attack by the Houthi militia that targeted civilian facilities in the UAE on Monday, which resulted in the death of three civilians and the injury of others.

In a statement issued today, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said the attack is a “deliberate attempt” by the Houthis to violate the basic principles of international laws and conventions.

“Kuwait firmly stands alongside the UAE and backs all measures the Gulf Arab state takes to protect its security and stability,” the statement added.

Oman expresses solidarity with UAE

The Omani Foreign Ministry has expressed solidarity with the UAE and pledged support for the measures it is taking to maintain its security and stability.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry expressed its denunciation and condemnation of the attack that targeted the UAE territories, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians, and affirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s firm position in rejecting violence and targeting of civilians.

Qatar strongly condemns attack on civilian facilities

Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted civilian areas in the United Arab Emirates that led to fatalities and injuries.

In a statement on Monday, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered targeting civilian installations and vital facilities a terrorist act that violates all international norms and laws.

King of Jordan condemns terrorist Houthi militia attack

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today a phone call from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during which he condemned the terrorist Houthi militia attack on facilities and civil areas in the UAE, which resulted in a number of fatalities and injuries.

During the call, the King affirmed Jordan’s support for the UAE in facing all threats to its security and stability, stressing that the security of the UAE is part of Jordan’s security.

He expressed his condolences over the victims of the terrorist attack and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed his thanks and appreciation for the sincere brotherly feelings expressed by His Majesty towards the UAE and its people, asking God Almighty to protect Jordan and its people from all harm.

Jordan condemns Houthi militia attack on civil facilities

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, reiterated Jordan’s strong condemnation and denouncement of the cowardly terrorist attack by Houthi militia, which targeted civil facilities in the UAE.

Haitham Abu Alfoul, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, reiterated “Jordan’s strong condemnation and denouncement of the cowardly terrorist attack.”

He said, “Jordan stands in complete solidarity with the brothers in the United Arab Emirates and that its security is part and parcel of Jordan’s.”

Abu Alfoul expressed his “heartfelt” sympathies to the families of the victims and wished for a speedy recovery for the injured.

OIC condemns Houthi attack on civil facilities in UAE

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned, in the strongest terms, the Houthi attack on civil areas and facilities in the UAE Monday.

The OIC condemned the Houthi Militia’s insistence on continuing their criminal operations against civil facilities in contravention of international laws and norms.

The OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous attack, reiterating the OIC’s position in support of the UAE and all the measures it’s taking to protect its territories and security.

Arab Parliament condemns terrorist Houthi militia’s attack

The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s launch of booby-trapped drones towards Abu Dhabi, UAE, killing three civilians and injuring others.

In a statement issued today, the Arab Parliament reiterated that the attack represents a cowardly terrorist aggression, a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all international laws, and a blatant attack on the sovereignty of the UAE. The hostile attack also demonstrates the insistence of the terrorist Houthi militias to continue their cowardly criminal behavior, said the statement.

The Arab Parliament stressed its support for the UAE and all measures it will take to confront these cowardly sabotage acts, calling on the international community to take firm steps against these militias whose criminal acts confirm that they are a terrorist organisation that poses a serious threat to the security and stability of the region.

Morocco strongly condemns Houthi terrorist attack

The Kingdom of Morocco, king, government and people, strongly condemned, on Monday, the heinous attack perpetrated by the Houthi militia which targeted civil facilities in UAE.

The Kingdom expressed its full solidarity with the UAE in defending its security and safety of its citizens, said a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.

Speaker of Iraqi Council of Representatives condemns Houthi attack

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), received a telephone call from Mohamed Al Halbousi, Speaker of Iraq’s Council of Representatives, who expressed strongest denunciation and condemnation of the attack by the Houthi militia which targeted civil facilities in the UAE.

Al Halbousi reiterated Iraq’s solidarity with the UAE and offered condolences to the families of the victims and speedy recovery to the injured.

Mauritania strongly condemns attack on civil facilities

Mauritania has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted civil facilities in the UAE that led to the death of three civilians and injuries of others.

In a statement on Monday, the Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation expressed full support for the UAE in the face of all threats to its security and stability.

The ministry expressed condolences to the families of the victims and its wishes of a speedy recovery for the injured.
