UAE education authorities have ordered a private school to cancel a book describing the Palestinians as terrorists, a newspaper has reported.
The Arabic language daily Emarat Alyoum said authorities found that the book was introduced by Shuweifat schools without getting Ministry of Education’s approval.
“We have ordered the school to withdraw the book immediately because it contradicts with the country’s policy and principles,” said Sheikha Khuloud Al Qassimi, the Ministry’s assistant undersecretary for censorship.
She said the school management would be subject to investigation and could be punished for committing such an offence.
