Wife sues husband for bugging her phone

Husband says he spies on maid

A Saudi woman took her husband to court, accusing him of spying on her by bugging the home phone, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The woman told court in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah that she discovered the “spying” device in the phone while talking to her family.

But the husband denied the charges, saying he bugged the phone to spy on the housemaid not his wife.

“The judge decided to reconcile the couple to avoid a trial that may aggravate the dispute between them,” Okaz daily said.
