A jealous Egyptian wife tried to kill her husband by hiding a snake under his blanket after she was infuriated by his affection for his mother and sisters.
The wife had argued with her husband many times through their marriage for giving too much attention to his family but he always tried to calm her down.
“One day I came back home from work and found that she was unusually very nice to me…she persuaded me to go to bed on my own to get some rest,” Egyptian newspapers quoted the husband as telling court.
“I was trying to sleep when I felt something crawling on the bed…I jumped off the bed and saw a big snake, which was hidden by my wife.”
Newspapers said the husband, who has a daughter from his wife, accused her of trying to kill him and described her as “a very jealous person”.
