DUBAI 11 January 2019: The long arm of Dubai Police extended to Italy where an accused was arrested for crimes committed in Dubai.

Dubai Police was informed that files in a school had been hacked by a former director (of Arab nationality) of the school’s information technology department.

Interpol issued an international seizure warrant and a red bulletin against him, as he was charged with hacking school files.

A working group was able to retrieve deleted files and secure the school’s network and data.

The accused was arrested at the Italian border, and is being processed in order to face trial in UAE.

Dubai Police commended the school administration for the communication, and made sure that the law took its course, despite the fact that the chief of the information technology department had left the country.
