Twenty-three-year-old Indian visitor, OS, allegedly via “WhatsApp” threatened of killing an Italian woman and her family if she does not continue friendship and business relationship, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
After receiving the threat message, twenty-seven-year old JM, visitor, reported that to the police.
Police summoned OS and confronting him with that, he denied the accusation and claimed that she sent the messages and not him.
“We had intimate relationship and we used to stay in the same flat. On May 19, we had an emotional problem… I went to bed and it seems that she grabbed my mobile and sent threat messages to her mobile,” he told investigators.
However, OS, could not supply police with the messages as he deleted all them all from the chat.
Records did not mention the content of the subject messages that were retrieved from the mobile of the victim threatening her not to break up.
The court will give sentence on November 16.
