An Indonesian housemaid expects to inherit nearly SR 100 million (Dh100 million) from her billionaire husband who died just two months after marrying her.
Known in the Saudi press as “the millionaire housemaid”, she has already got around SR35 million from two auctions for her husband’s assets and she expects to receive nearly SR65 million from a third auction this week.
The Saudi daily ‘Sada’ said the auction would be held in the Western Saudi town of Taif for a land plot owned by her husband.
“The maid is expected to receive a total SR 100 million from her husband’s assets,” the paper said, adding that the maid married a Yemeni expatriate after her husband’s death.
“The maid came to Saudi Arabia to work for the Saudi billionaire for just SR1,000…she returned to Indonesia as a millionaire,” the paper said.
