DUBAI 18 June 2019: Following the death of a 6-year old boy, Dubai Police has launched an awareness campaign to educate all about the seriousness of leaving your children locked in cars, especially during the sweltering summer months of the Gulf.

The video campaign is titled ‘One second of negligence can lead to losing your kid forever. Never leave your child alone in the car’.

It comes on the heels of the tragic death of an Asian child who was forgotten in a bus at a Quran learning center in the Al Quoz area of Dubai.

After all other children had left, the bus was locked on the assumption that no one was inside. The incident happened early morning at around 6 am and it is assumed that the child had fallen asleep in the bus.

One of the the top Dubai Police officials has criticized parents for the practice of sometimes leaving children locked in cars while they shop or do sundry tasks.
