Ajman building field hospital for covid patients

AJMAN 3 March, 2021: Ajman Executive Council yesterday reviewed a report by the Emergency and Crisis Committee on the progress of the construction of a field hospital in Ajman, which will receive emergency Covid-19 cases.

The Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster management team in the Emirate of Ajman announced that it has mandated specific establishments to conduct a regular weekly PCR examination for all their employees, except those who have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, with a commitment to download the Al-Hosn application, starting 2nd March.

The decision includes workers in restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, gyms, men’s and women’s salons, labour recruitment offices, food and meal delivery companies and car washrooms.

The inspection and control teams will carry out inspection rounds on the employees of the specified institutions and companies three days following the issuance of the decision.

2,721 new cases, 1,666 recoveries, 15 deaths

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 225,159 additional covid tests, and announced 2,721 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 396,771.

‏MoHAP also announced 15 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,253.

‏The mMinistry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

‏MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,666 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 383,998.

The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 6,094,956 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 61.62 doses per 100 people.
