DUBAI 21 March 2018: Yesterday was the International Day of Happiness – and Dubai celebrated it in style at the word ‘go’.

As soon as the day started, all passengers arriving at Dubai airport were greeted with a smiling officer – and had their pass ports stamped with a smiley face.

“GDRFADUBAI surprises passengers arriving at @DubaiAirports with a ‘Welcome to the happy #UAE’ stamp to celebrate the International Day of Happiness,” the Dubai immigration department tweeted.

Elsewhere, the UAE’s Happiness Journey came to and end yesterday. It supports the UAE’s efforts in achieving a better quality of life for the community by establishing happiness and wellbeing as a way of life and thinking.

Apart from free rides by RTA, the  Ministry of Economy and Dubai Health Authority teamed up with some private healthcare entities to provide free medical screening to the public, particularly tourists, in celebration of the International Day of Happiness.
