Global Village fire put out swiftly during Saturday rush

DUBAI 31 March 2019: Were you there when a fire broke out at one of the pavilions at Global Village?

According to the facility’s management, “Global Village’s first response team controlled [the] small fire that broke out in one of the participating pavilion’s facade within minutes without any injuries.”

It was also yesterday that Global Village announced that it has become the world’s first entertainment destination to achieve British Safety Council’s five-star grading.

It was a busy day being a Saturday off. In fact, Dubai Police announced that due to the heavy demand, the entrance of Global Village was temporarily closed from the direction of Sharjah. Guests were urged to use the entrance from Jebel Ali side.

Global Village’s management and the concerned authorities are investigating the cause of fire. Guests were invited to continue to enjoy the various activities and entertainment shows yesterday until midnight.
