Hospitals, municipal, customs… timings during Eid holidays

DUBAI 22 June 2017: Below are the timing of some important services such as hospitals in Dubai or municipal services in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai Municipality 

Dubai Municipality has completed its preparations for Eid  Al Fitr. The operation rooms of the municipality will continue to work during the holidays to meet the public influx at parks, resorts and markets.

The emirate’s abattoirs have also completed preparations to meet the rush during the days leading up to the Eid. The working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in all Dubai abattoirs and a team of veterinarians are ready for emergencies.

All the markets will be open throughout Eid, except for Naif Souq, Souq Al Shaabi and the Falcon Centre, which will be closed for the first day of Eid, while the rest of the markets will be open to the public normally.

The Waste Management Department has completed preparations for cleaning the city before the start of the celebrations. The cleaning of all the Eid Musallahs has been completed to receive worshipers and the cleaning of all streets in the city and parks have also been completed in order to get them ready to receive visitors during Eid celebrations.

Municipality cleaners will be present in areas with the largest number of shopping centres in Bur Dubai, and the department has also intensified the number of cleaners on beaches, resorts and commercial areas, especially in market areas. The cleaning teams will work around the clock to keep the cleanliness and beauty of Dubai in front of everyone – citizens, residents or tourists.

The Children’s City Administration has also prepared special programmes for children throughout Eid, which include Tarzan, Peter Pan and Math Alive shows. In addition, there will be a number of competitions and other activities characteristic of Children’s City. The programmes in the Children’s City will continue for three days starting from the second day of Eid. The Tarzan show will be held from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

As for public parks, gates will be open to receive visitors from 8 a.m. until 12 midnight. It has been decided to exempt People of Determination and the elderly (over 60 years old) from any entrance fees.

Several events will be held at Creek Park, most notably the Dolphin shows, which will be held three times a day at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Dolphinarium at Gate No. 1 of the park. A new adventure park has opened in Mushrif Park. Rowing boats are available at Mushrif Park and in Al Nahda and Al Barsha Pond Parks. In addition to that, three swimming pools have been opened for the public at Al Mamzar Park, Mushrif Park and Hatta Park.

DHA hospitals and medical centres timings

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA), has announced the working hours for all DHA hospitals, primary health centres, medical fitness centres and specialty centres during the Eid  Al Fitr holidays.

At DHA Hospitals, Accident and Emergency departments will function as usual, however all outpatient clinics will remain closed during the Eid Holidays, except for Hatta Hospital. Its family medicine clinic will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the Eid Holiday, said Wam.

Hospitals and health centres will work as per shift timings and medical practitioners will be on call to ensure work continues as usual.

The Heads of Sections/Units will ensure smooth running of their respective Sections/Units with sufficient staff coverage, while urgent operations will commence as usual. The Administrative Offices will remain closed, but there will be a designated senior on-call staff who will be available if and when an administrative problem arises.

If Eid falls on Sunday, 25th June, all Primary Healthcare Centres will remain closed from Saturday 24th until Tuesday 27th. Work will resume on Wednesday June 28th. Al Barsha Health Centre and Nad Al Hamar Centre will remain open 24 hours a day.

If Eid falls on Monday, June 26th, all the centres will be closed from Saturday 24th until Thursday 29th, and work will resume on July 1st. Except for Al Lusailly Health Centre, which will only be closed from June 24th – 27th and open for five hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from 28th to 29th June. Al Barsha Health Centre and Nad Al Hamar Centre will remain open 24 hours a day.

Medical fitness Centres will be closed from Saturday 24th until Tuesday 27th if Eid falls on Sunday, June 25th. Work will resume on Wednesday, June 28th.

If Eid Al Fitr falls on Monday June 26th, all the centres will be closed from Saturday 24th until Thursday 29th and work will resume on July 2nd, except for Al Muhaisnah Medical Fitness Centre, which will resume work on July 1st.

Dubai Diabetes Centre and Dubai Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre will both remain closed during the Eid Al Fitr Holiday.

Abu Dhabi Municipal Affairs and Transport Department Timings

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport has announced the closure of all its walk-in customer service centres during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.

Centres will reopen either on Wednesday, June 28th, or on Saturday, July 1st, depending on when the Eid holiday is called, the authority said.

The department reminded that if required, its 24 hour call centre can be reached on 80088888.

Dubai Customs Timings

Dubai Customs announced the official working hours at its customs centers during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, to help individuals and companies clear their goods without any delay.

Air customs centers at Dubai Cargo Village, Dubai Airport Free Zone- gate number (5), and Dubai Flower Center will work round-the-clock; whereas inspection section at Dubai Multi Commodities Center will work on Saturday 24 June from 9am to 2pm, and in case the holiday extended to 2nd July, Thursday 29th June will be a working day.

Jebel Ali Inspection Center and Dubai Logistics City Inspection Center will work round-the-clock during Eid holiday; whereas, Jebel Ali customer service center will work from the third day of Eid, from 8am to 2pm.

Port Rashid Customer Service Center will work on Wednesday and Thursday 28-29th June, from 8am to 2pm.

Land customs centers will have schedule changes during the holiday. Hatta Customs Center will work round-the-clock, whereas Dry Docks and Dukamz centers will resume on Wednesday 28th June from 8am to 1pm, and on Thursday 29th June from 8am to 1pm.

At coastal customs centers the work will be as follows: Round-the-clock work at exit and entry gates (inspection and marine operations), Deira wharfage (inspection), Dubai Clock Customs Centers (inspection), and Hamirya Port inspection center. Work at Hamriya Port Customs Center will be from 8am to 2pm; whereas Dubai Creek Customs Center and maritime operations center will work from 7:30am to 1:30pm. Work hours at declaration management will be round-the-clock.

These timings have been put in consideration of the clients’ interests and in accordance with Dubai Customs strategic vision in helping clients clear their goods in timely manner without any hindrance during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
