DUBAI MAY 6 2018: The weather in Dubai, UAE can reach extreme heights. In such weather conditions it becomes crucial to buy a car in Dubai, and avoid stepping under direct sunlight as much as possible. Here are tips to keep your car cool and running in the excruciating UAE heat.

Tires health: If the tires are over or under inflated, they will deteriorate faster than their average lifespan. Make sure to keep the air pressure in your car tires at the recommended level.

AC service: Nobody wants to drive in 50 degrees heat, without their air-conditioning. The AC units in cars are highly technical machines and require service once a year. Also important is to check AC’s gas and lubricant levels regularly.

Unattended items: Leaving behind inflammable items like lighters, cans with compressed air like deodorants, air fresheners or perfumes can become extremely dangerous in extreme heat. So do not leave these items in the car as there is a chance of it exploding inside the car when the temperature inside the car rises dramatically.

Fuel at maximum capacity: As per many rumors you might have heard that liquid must have some space available to expand and therefore, you should not fill your tank to full capacity during summers. However, this myth has been debunked and it has been confirmed that car fuel tanks are designed to hold up pressure that is build up under extreme temperatures. So do not worry about this. In fact, keeping a full tank leaves less room for its evaporation! Also you wouldn’t want to get stranded on the road under the hot summer fun, so keep those tanks full.

Park smart: Finding a parking spot is a blessing, but finding a shaded parking spot is a gift of God granted only to the chosen ones. So keep an eye out and look for a parking spot that would at least keep the steering wheel and driving seat cool in the hot summer of UAE.

Now when you buy a car in Dubai, you would know the do and don’ts of maximizing car safety in hot weather conditions.
