A 41-year-old Japanese man died in Sharjah after he was run over by a car, whose driver fled the scene without trying to help the victim.
Police said the Japanese was crossing the road in Sharjah’s free zone when he was knocked over by the speeding vehicle.
Newspapers said police mounted an operation to search for the driver.
