Model jumps from 6th floor to flee rapist; arrested

DUBAI 21 March 2018: A Russian model, who jumped from the 6th floor balcony of her Dubai hotel room to escape an alleged rapist, is under arrest in her hospital room, as the attacker reportedly made an as yet unknown counter allegation again her.

22-year-old Ekaterina Stetsyuk from Irkutsk in Russia, miraculously survived the fall, but is said to have broken her spine in the fall as several of her vertebrae are crushed.

According to reports, an unknown male was in her room with the alleged intention to ‘rape and kill’ Ekaterina.

The Russian model decided to jump from the sixth floor balcony rather than submit to her alleged attacker, said Siberian Times.

The man, whose nationality is unknown, was reportedly detained at the airport seeking to flee Dubai and faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted. He made the unknown allegations against the model while under interrogation, said The Sun.

Russian channel NTV reported that Ekaterina was followed by a rich “foreigner” and “refused to be with him”.

A video on YouTube shows Ekatrina speaking from her hospital bed, Ekaterina to reassure her mother, saying: “I am doing well, do not worry about me.

“People from the (Russian) consulate visited, I can get in touch with you.

“My surgery was postponed. We’ll see how it goes.

“All is fine mummy, I love you. Kisses. I have got everything.”
