617 new covid cases, 714 recoveries, 2 deaths

UAE 15 September 2021: More than 225.16 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 4,813,463​ have died, according to a Reuters tally on Tuesday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in mainland China in December 2019.

In the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 351,718 additional Covid-19 tests and announced 617 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 730,135.

MoHAP also announced 2 deaths due to complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,066.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 714 individuals had fully recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 721,367.

The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 19,073,549 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 192.85 doses per 100 people.
