NMC holds workshop to assess customer requirements

The National Media Council, NMC, has organised a workshop to examine the needs of its customers, media content policies, develop future action plans and review customer suggestions.

The workshop, which was held at NMC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, was attended by representatives from the film industry, video game distribution companies, printing presses and publishing houses from around the country.

The workshop is part of NMC’s efforts to promote the media sector by formulating the necessary policies to modernise the regulatory environment and develop partnerships with the private sector. The efforts follow the issuing of Federal Law No. 11 for 2016 which added a new mandate for the NMC to develop and carry out required policies in the areas of media licensing, media content, electronic media, and others.
