Get house-help from one-stop centres in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman

AJMAN 15 March 2018: New line of Tadbeer centres providing critical services to domestic workers will be launched in the emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman under a public-private partnership, a senior official at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed.

Ahmed Al Yassi, Director of Labour Relations for Domestic Work at Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, told the second forum for domestic work initiative in Ajman that Tadbeer Centres will help guarantee the provision of high quality visa, orientation and training services, said Wam.

”The one-stop centre will streamline services related to domestic workers and help keep an accurate database of their information for both contractual parties,” he added. The centres aim to offer all services required to employers interested in hiring domestic helpers.

He stated that the centres will be operated according to provision of the Federal Law No 10/2017 on domestic workers.

Tadbeer Centres will set a new standard for the provision of services to domestic workers, enabling access to better information and training, and ensuring that working conditions and accommodation are appropriate.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation will license operators according to their capacity to meet high standards and ensure their customers’ ongoing happiness, matching the UAE’s outstanding government service program.

  • Services provided by Tadbeer Centres will include:
  • Conducting pre-arrival interviews with domestic workers to ensure that they understand their contractual rights
  • Provision of training and education to new workers
  • Resolving disputes between workers and employees, and
  • Checking on worker housing and accommodation.

The ministry said the centres are expected to set a new standard for the provision of services to domestic workers, protect their rights, enable access to better information and training, and ensure that working conditions and accommodation are appropriate.
