NRIs can get US background check done in Dubai

DUBAI 7 October 2019: All Indian nationals who wish to get their background verification done for the purpose of US Global Entry Programme (GEP), can now avail this service in Dubai and Northern Emirates, provided they are holding a valid residential permit/visa to stay in UAE.

The facility is available from October 1st through the Indian consulate in Dubai and is in line with the Government of India’s initiatives to make people-centric services more approachable.

A number of Indian nationals used to travel back to India for this background verification but now this services has been centralized and the concerned applicants can now avail the above service in Dubai and Northern Emirates in the same manner as they apply for their passports in Global Passport Seva Portal (GPSP) https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in and selecting the region as United Arab Emirates.

Afterwards they may register themselves, if not done earlier. After successful registration, they may login to the website and go to the services menu.

A new service item has been created in the Menu for this service (background verification for US Global Entry Programme GEP) along with other services, where applicants can fill their details etc and submit the same physically to the outsourced service centre (M/s BLS International in Dubai and other cities in Northern Emirates) and pay the fee of around Dh100/-.
