Omani bus carrying Umrah pilgrims crashes in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI 17 July 2019: The Abu Dhabi Police has provided support to pilgrims from Oman whose bus crashed into metal barriers on the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed highway in Abu Dhabi yesterday morning.

Thee bus was travelling from Makkah to Oman after taking passengers for performing Umrah.

No casualties or major injuries were reported, said Wam.

Colonel Mohammad Salem Al Shehhi, Director of Traffic and Patrols at the Abu Dhabi Police, said that all the passengers were safe, and were provided with shelter, food and drinks.

Alternative transportation was being arranged.

Last month 17 people were killed in another Omani bus crash on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road in Dubai.
