Own a satellite dish? Better get rid of it asap

Abu Dhabi Municipality launches crackdown

ABU DHABI 14 June 2017: Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), has launched a campaign that targets the satellite receiver dishes on the roofs of buildings and balconies of houses, as part of maintaining the general appearance of the city and protecting the environment.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport at ADM called on all members of the community to contribute to maintaining the good image of Abu Dhabi by getting rid of all kinds of objects that affect the general appearance of the city.

It added that the random spread of satellite receiver dishes is still noticeable in a way that mars the city’s general appearance, due to the lack of compliance with the regulated number of satellite receiver dishes.

The ADM has revealed that during its latest campaign, it issued over 120 warnings in Abu Dhabi to those who violated its standards and conditions for installing the satellite receivers.
