DUBAI 14 February 2018: You may have heard that China is popularly believed to be one of the world’s top cyber-attacker.
But can you believe that USA and United Kingdom have been named – along with China – among the world’s top-3 cyber attackers?
“US, China and UK are top 3 cyber attackers of 2017,” says the recently Netscout Arbor WISR report.
According to the report, : 57 per cent of enterprises and 45 per cent of data center operators saw their internet bandwidth saturated due to DDoS attacks.
There were 7.5 million DDoS attacks in 2017, according to data from Netscout Arbor’s Active Threat Level Analysis System (Atlas) infrastructure which covers approximately one-third of global internet traffic.
Service provider respondents experienced more volumetric attacks while enterprises reported a 30 percent increase in stealthy application-layer attacks.
