Covid Update: Recoveries inch closer to 400,000

ABU DHABI 9 March 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 181,571 additional Covid-19 tests, and announced 2,483 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 413,332.

‏MoHAP also announced 13 deaths due to complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,335.

‏The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

‏MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,857 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 394,649.

The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 6,287,751 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 63.57 doses per 100 people.
