Underwater wedding in US

Rain on a wedding day is said to be good luck. But immersing yourself completely underwater after saying ‘I do’? That’s something else entirely.

Wedding photographer Adam Opris has shared incredible photos of couples taking part in an underwater wedding shoot.

The photos, published by the British Daily Mail newspaper, show the bride and groom kissing on the ocean floor and surrounded by stingrays.

Opris, of Adam Opris Photography, is based in South Florida in the U.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, the talented photographer said the underwater shoots add ‘a whole new dynamic of creativity and art into their memories’.

A behind-the-scenes video shows a couple going out to sea on a boat, before diving in to the water with scuba gear.

While underwater, the couple remove their face masks for the photo.

The couple are surrounded by a crew of divers, including the photographer, who captures the incredible moment on camera.

In between shoots, the bride and groom are shown breathing through the oxygen tank.

‘I used to see photos of underwater worlds in the Amazon River from divers and was always drawn to them,’ Opris said.

‘Most people don’t realise that to create amazing photos the posing is much different than on land. The proper lighting is necessary to preserve skin color and make sure the clients are not blue like the water.’

The photos are taken using a special underwater camera, and Opris said he liked to see how the dynamics between couples changed under water.

‘People try and help each other float or mess with each other’s hair underwater and make it fun and crazy,’ he said

But perhaps unsurprisingly, such an elaborate wedding day shoot doesn’t come cheap. According to wedding website The Knot, prices for Mr Opris’ photography range between $3,000 and $4,999.

The Daily Mail ended its story with this funny note to brides: pack a waterproof mascara.
