DUBAI 22 February 2019: Ten-year old Rashid Badr has been honoured by Dubai Police for welcoming and greeting police personnel when he meets them.

A happiness card committee headed by Mona Al Ameri presented Rashid with an ‘Essaad’ card, in addition to other gifts.

The video below, which was shared on social media, documented Rashid spontaneously shaking hands with a traffic officer in Dubai Police while the policeman was performing his work directing traffic.

As soon as the child saw the traffic policeman, he crossed the street and went straight up to him to embrace and greet him.

The policeman responded with a hug and a kiss on his head.

Mona Al Amri said that Rashid is a model for children who love security men, and our honor for him is only an expression of the importance of the relationship of communication between security men and society.

“What Rashid has done reflects the wonderful image that the Dubai Police General Command has embedded in the minds of children through the various educational means that have been implemented,” she added.
