Accidents are caused by speed and other offences

Road accidents kill an average 30 people in Saudi Arabia every day, maintaining the Gulf kingdom’s position as having one of the highest traffic casualties in the world.

An average 1,537 road mishaps occur through Saudi Arabia every day, killing around 7,153 people every year, Sada newspaper said, quoting traffic police data.

It said most of the accidents are caused speed, reckless driving and other traffic offences in the Gulf kingdom, with a population of around 31million.
